EQT PRI Transparency Report 2019

It is a pleasure to announce that EQT, for the sixth consecutive year, has reported on its sustainability progress according to the PRI Reporting Framework.

At EQT, sustainability is not only part of the DNA it is also something that lies close to everyone’s hearts. Having a long-term, responsible and sustainable approach to investment and ownership is EQT's way of creating positive impact and value for investors, in portfolio companies and to society at large. By considering sustainability as an integral part of its business model EQT, as well as the EQT funds' portfolio companies, can remain relevant, successful and be part of the regenerative solutions needed for the future.

As the first Nordic private equity firm, EQT became a signatory to the United Nations-supported Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI) Initiative in December 2010. As a signatory, EQT reports its progress towards implementing the six principles on the relevant modules Organisational Overview, Strategy and Governance, Direct – Fixed Income, Direct – Private Equity and Direct – Infrastructure. A highlight in this year’s report is that 100% of all assets and funds have a thematic approach towards sustainable investments.

In addition, as EQT considers the transition to a lower-carbon economy as an integral part of its business model, the voluntary Climate Change module has for the first time been responded to. Being a strong promoter of transparency, EQT makes all its responses in the report publicly available.

In July 2019, EQT proudly received the highest possible rating A+ on the Strategy & Governance, Private Equity and Infrastructure modules respectively, and B on the Fixed Income module, where ownership/level of influence is different compared to the other modules.
